Lowcountry Atmosphere Landscape

Hand-Embellished Canvas Print

Inspired by the expansive vistas of the South Carolina Lowcountry—from the ACE Basin to the tidal creeks of Mount Pleasant—this piece reflects the "Quiet Luxury" of coastal living. It is a tribute to the timeless Southern landscape, designed to serve as a serene focal point in a high-end interior

A masterful study of light and air, Clouds over the Marsh captures the fleeting warmth of a Lowcountry afternoon. This portrait-oriented landscape focuses on the celestial dance of towering clouds as they drift over a quiet tidal creek. The palette is a sophisticated balance of cool and warm—featuring soft sky blues contrasted against the earthy richness of Venetian red, burnt sienna, and olive green marsh grasses.

This is not a standard reproduction. Each Clouds over the Marsh giclée is a limited edition work that has been personally hand-embellished by April Moffatt. Using the same professional-grade oils found in her original paintings, April adds tactile brushstrokes to the clouds and marsh highlights, ensuring that no two pieces in the edition are exactly alike. The result is a work of art with the depth, texture, and soul of an original oil painting.

MADE FOR YOU: A HAND EMBELLISHED LIMITED EDITION

The Artist’s Hand & Process

A Soulful Bridge Between Reproduction and Original Art. Every hand-embellished giclée is treated as a bespoke studio commission. Once your selection is made, April brings the canvas to her easel to begin a meticulous, multi-dimensional layering process.

Sculpting with Light and Texture: Using sculptural impasto techniques, April hand-applies professional-grade oils with a palette knife to recreate the physical "peaks and valleys" found in her original works. She strategically layers translucent glazes and thick pigments to catch and refract ambient light, mimicking the natural luminosity of the Lowcountry horizon. This process ensures that as the light in your room changes throughout the day, the painting "awakens," revealing new depths of color and tactile energy.

COLLECTOR'S AUTHENICATION

To ensure the lasting value of your acquisition, each piece includes:

  • Certificate of Authenticity
  • Provenance: Titled, dated, and hand-signed by April on the reverse. This signature finish ensures your specific edition is a one-of-a-kind artifact.
  • Hand-signed on the front in impasto paint

CURATED CANVAS STYLES AND STUDIO FRAMING

We offer three museum-grade finishes designed to complement the atmospheric depth of the work.

  • Studio Classic Gold: A soft-lustre, elegant finish that captures warm, coastal light with a timeless, muted glow.
  • Studio Antique Silver: A crisp, sophisticated choice that highlights the mineral blues and cool grays of the marsh.
  • Studio Natural Oak: An organic, airy wood grain perfect for modern, light-filled interiors.
  • Gallery-Wrapped Canvas: Professionally stretched over heavy-duty 1.5” wooden bars. Note: Works larger than 30x40 are available exclusively in a framed presentation to ensure structural integrity.

Arrival: Your artwork arrives fully assembled and pre-mounted hanging wire—ready to transform your space the moment it reaches your door.

SHIPPING AND CURING: THE SLOW ART PROCESS

Because each piece is individually hand-painted and layered to order, we follow a deliberate timeline to ensure the integrity of the oil pigments.

  1. Creation (3–4 Weeks): Your piece is printed and hand-embellished at the easel.
  2. The Curing Period (2 Weeks): Due to the thickness of the impasto texture, the oil pigments require a dedicated period to "cure" and harden before the work can be safely packaged.
  3. Complimentary Insured Delivery: We provide Complimentary Studio Shipping on all domestic orders. Every shipment is fully insured and handled with the utmost care.

*Studio Policy: As these are custom works, order changes must be made within 24 hours of purchase.

SHIPPING TIMES
